The Roots of
MY ArtSpace:
An Origin Story

How a Life of Creativity, Culture, and Courage Shaped a Sanctuary for Merced’s Youth
Every corner of MY ArtSpace is shaped by lived experience. This isn’t just a program—it’s the result of a lifetime spent creating, caregiving, adapting, and imagining something more. Below is the story of how founder Rosie Campagna’s personal journey—across continents, cultures, art forms, and life challenges—grew into the vision that is now MY ArtSpace.

Founder & Executive Director, MY ArtSpace
Meet Rosie Campagna, the heart behind MY ArtSpace.

A creative force with roots across continents and cultures, Rosie’s life has been a patchwork of art, resilience, and reinvention. From a young girl writing books in Germany and painting emotions in California, to assisting fashion icons in Los Angeles and creating music with whatever tools she could find—her journey has always been about honoring creative expression in all its forms.

Raised by a global perspective and guided by soulful intuition, Rosie brings decades of lived experience to her role as Founder and Executive Director. She’s part therapist, part educator, part visionary artist—committed to building a space where Merced teens feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow not just as artists, but as whole, emotionally grounded humans.

MY ArtSpace is her offering to the world.
A place where creativity becomes courage, and every brushstroke, beat, or photograph is a step toward becoming.
